Don and Marianne- Owner Operators, who believe in “multi-skilling”

Originally working in high pressure legal and rehabilitation areas, Don and Marianne, have taken to the friendly, country atmosphere of Dayboro and Samford with enthusiasm. They have honed their skills in cooking, landscaping, orchid cultivation and massage therapy and extended knowledge of local attractions, wild life and horticulture, whilst slowly expanding the Bed and Breakfast to meet the needs of their wide range of guests.

The Kirnicama Story

Established 10 years ago,“Kirnicama” is derived from the first 3 letters of their daughter’s names, Kirsten, Nicole and Amanda.!! It has been the fulfilment of a dream and an ongoing project, which has seen the planting of thousands of native and exotic plants to attract birdlife, development of a protea plantation, patches of rainforest along the creek and the cultivation of cabinet timbers and fruit trees, the spoils of which feature in our delicious breakfasts. Tranquil Waters has been seeded with perch and redclaw!

Spot wallabies as you prepare to throw in a line, or count the different varieties of birds, which call Kirnicama “home”!
