Don and Marianne are enjoying the move from stressful professional occupations to creating a natural paradise, where they can pamper their guests.

Don has spent years building up his collection of orchids, particularly species, some of which are used to decorate our guest rooms and the living areas of the B&B. He has also added to his family’s collection of butterflies, which can be viewed by guests during their stay. Don is the master chef at weekends and looks the part in his Kirnicama apron!

After years working in rehabilitation, Marianne has recently added massage therapy to her qualifications and is available to add her “touch” to your relaxing stay. She enjoys floral art, gardening and acquiring the odd items of art and craft. Look out for her smoked salmon eggs benedict!

Alfie the resident Wallaby

Alfie, our small wallaby, has adopted us and comes occasionally to visit or can be seen in the distance with his new friends, to the delight all guests, but particularly our overseas visitors.  

Other regular visitors include Monty Magpie and Bertie Butcherbird, who visit at breakfast time for any delicious morsels.
